Concrete Pump truck "thawing" guide: These things must be done before resuming work!
Release time:
2026-03-06
Data source:
When equipment is put back into operation in the initial stage of resuming work, it is recommended that the first shift be at a medium load to allow each system to gradually adapt and break in. During operation, pay attention to instrument readings and listen to equipment sounds to promptly identify any abnormalities.
With the arrival of the Jingzhe (Awakening of Insects) solar term, concrete pump truck construction projects have gradually resumed across various regions. However, many areas in northern China are still experiencing low temperatures, mostly between 0 and -10℃, which may cause equipment malfunctions. To ensure construction safety and normal equipment operation, there are still many key points to pay attention to before resuming work and during construction.
✅01 Engine and Fuel System Inspection
In low-temperature environments, please use diesel fuel with a freezing point no higher than -10°C to prevent fuel from freezing.
After starting the engine, allow it to idle for a short while to warm up; do not accelerate suddenly. Engine oil is more viscous in winter, so ensure adequate lubrication.
Check the oil-water separator and drain any water promptly to prevent water-containing diesel fuel from freezing and causing starting difficulties.
✅02 Cooling and Liquid System Inspection
Check the antifreeze freezing point and level to ensure they meet local minimum temperature requirements.
After construction, drain all water from the pump truck's water tank, pump, and pipelines to prevent freezing and cracking overnight.
After cleaning the pumping system, operate the "pull-back pump" to drain any remaining water from the pipelines.
✅03 Critical Component Antifreeze Inspection
Inspect the rotary reducer and remove any accumulated water to prevent the casing from freezing and cracking.
Inspect and drain condensate from the air tank and oil-water separator to prevent the changeover switch, solenoid valve, and other pneumatic components from malfunctioning due to freezing.
✅04 Hydraulic System Preheating
After starting the pump truck, it should be run at low speed and low load for a period of time to allow the hydraulic oil to fully warm up and circulate. In winter, the hydraulic oil viscosity is high; running it directly at high speed and high pressure without preheating can easily damage the hydraulic pump and valve assembly.
✅05 Urea Solution Filling
When adding automotive urea, do not overfill; leave adequate expansion space.
When equipment is put back into operation in the initial stage of resuming work, it is recommended that the first shift be at a medium load to allow each system to gradually adapt and break in. During operation, pay attention to instrument readings and listen to equipment sounds to promptly identify any abnormalities.
