Construction precautions for concrete placing booms

To ensure the safe operation of the concrete placing boom, the following regulations and requirements must be strictly observed.

To ensure the safe operation of the concrete placing boom, the following regulations and requirements must be strictly observed; otherwise, personal injury or equipment accidents may occur. The relevant safety rules for tower cranes must also be strictly followed.

1. When the wind speed exceeds 13.8 m/s (Level 6 wind), the concrete placing boom must not operate. When the wind speed exceeds 7.78 m/s (Level 4 wind), the assembly, disassembly, and internal climbing/lifting of the concrete placing boom are strictly prohibited.

2. The concrete placing boom should be kept a certain distance from high-voltage power lines and electrical appliances.

3. The end pouring hose must be secured with a safety rope. It is forbidden to use end hoses longer than 3 meters for pouring. The hose must not be inserted into the poured concrete. Operation must strictly adhere to the designated area of the concrete placing boom.

4. No one is allowed to stand under the boom while the concrete placing boom is operating.

5. Operators must obey the instructions of the supervising officer. Blindly placing concrete is strictly prohibited to avoid accidents.

6. The hydraulic system pressure must not exceed 28 MPa.

7. It is strictly forbidden to open pipe joints when there is pressure in the delivery pipe or oil pipe.

8. It is strictly forbidden to disconnect the end hose or connect the boom to another rigid conveying pipeline.

9. Before each shift, operators should check the metal structural components, ensuring there are no open welds at any welded joints, and that the connection between the base beam and the building wall is secure.

10. Strictly adhere to lubrication requirements. Only after all aspects are ready and a no-load test run is conducted without issues can the machine be put into operation.

11. During rotation, reverse rotation is strictly prohibited before the machine has come to a complete stop. The coupling at the slewing joint should not be tightened excessively to ensure smooth rotation. The slewing joint coupling must be cleaned and lubricated once per shift to seal it.

12. After the concrete placing operation, any residual concrete clumps in the concrete pipes of the concrete placing machine must be removed to prevent blockages, pipe bursts, and disruptions to normal operation.

13. During maintenance or repair, the ground power supply must be disconnected. Maintenance or repair while the power is on is strictly prohibited.

14. At the end of the workday, the boom must be retracted, the safety hook must be engaged, the boom must be placed horizontally, and the ground power supply must be disconnected.

JIUHE Truck-mounted concrete pump

With the rapid development of the construction industry, methods for transporting concrete are constantly evolving. In the past, stationary concrete pumps (or "trailer concrete pumps") were the primary method, but truck-mounted concrete pumps ( also called "concrete line pump" )have now gradually become the mainstream choice.

Precautions for the Use of Trailer Mounted Concrete Pumps

The trailer-mounted concrete pump is a very common piece of construction equipment; favored by contractors for its compact size, ease of transport, and cost-effectiveness.

What causes the S-pipe of a concrete pump to not swing properly?

The S-tube is a crucial component of a concrete boom pump. Its primary function is to connect the boom's piping to the concrete delivery cylinder, enabling continuous concrete pumping.
