Most common safety accidents involving concrete pump trucks

The working principles of different models of concrete pump trucks are basically the same, with differences only in minor details. Analysis of past accidents reveals the following five most common types of accidents when operating concrete pump trucks.

The working principles of different models of concrete pump trucks are basically the same, with differences only in minor details. Analysis of past accidents reveals the following five most common types of accidents when operating concrete pump trucks:

First, rollover.

When a concrete pump truck is deployed, its weight is supported by four outriggers, including the weight of the truck itself while it is in operation. If the construction site is confined, the foundation's bearing capacity is insufficient, the outriggers are not fully deployed, or there are pipes or cavities underneath, the pump truck is highly prone to rollover accidents.

Second, being struck by an object.

During concrete placement operations, poor coordination between the concrete pump truck operator and the construction workers involved in the placement and pouring operations, and violations of operating procedures by both parties, can easily lead to accidents.

Third, electric shock.

This type of electric shock is similar to crane-related accidents. During concrete placement operations, the boom needs to be raised high, and the boom may come into contact with high-voltage power lines near the construction site, causing an electric shock accident.

Fourth, mechanical injury to the pump truck's mixing hopper.

Multiple such accidents occur every year. When the concrete pump truck's mixing hopper malfunctions, the operator needs to clean the concrete out of the hopper. If someone misoperates the machinery at this time, the person cleaning the hopper may be injured. When the mixing device malfunctions, the maintenance personnel are repairing the mixing device inside the hopper. If another person starts testing whether the repair is working, the maintenance personnel may also be injured.

JIUHE Truck-mounted concrete pump

With the rapid development of the construction industry, methods for transporting concrete are constantly evolving. In the past, stationary concrete pumps (or "trailer concrete pumps") were the primary method, but truck-mounted concrete pumps ( also called "concrete line pump" )have now gradually become the mainstream choice.

Precautions for the Use of Trailer Mounted Concrete Pumps

The trailer-mounted concrete pump is a very common piece of construction equipment; favored by contractors for its compact size, ease of transport, and cost-effectiveness.

What causes the S-pipe of a concrete pump to not swing properly?

The S-tube is a crucial component of a concrete boom pump. Its primary function is to connect the boom's piping to the concrete delivery cylinder, enabling continuous concrete pumping.
