In the field of concrete engineering machinery, the manufacture of concrete pump trucks is highly technical.
In the field of concrete engineering machinery, the manufacture of concrete pump trucks is highly technical. Many construction sites involve intense work, placing extremely high demands on the boom and hydraulic system of the concrete pump truck, as well as requiring excellent stability. Therefore, this necessitates rigorous performance testing and proper maintenance to ensure the pump truck is always in optimal working condition. Special attention must be paid to the maintenance of certain critical components. Do you know which components are key? Let's take a look.
✅1. Maintenance of Boom, Outriggers, and Turntable
Grease fittings are specifically designed at the joints of each boom section, connecting pins, the connecting shafts between the four outriggers and their supports, and the turntable. These areas experience repeated wear during operation and require grease to reduce the wear rate. It is generally recommended to lubricate the grease fittings every 60 working hours. Grease should be added manually until grease overflows or until all contaminated grease is squeezed out.
✅2. Concrete Piston
When the coating on the delivery cylinder is not worn off, but concrete slurry or sand appears at the rear of the concrete piston (i.e., in the water tank), it indicates that the piston is worn and the concrete seal, guide ring, and dust seal need to be replaced immediately. Since the piston can be easily retracted into the pumping system water tank via the control panel, it should be regularly retracted for inspection. After the piston retracts into the water tank, the concrete seal and guide ring on the piston should be cleaned and lubricated with lithium-based grease. This will effectively extend the piston's service life.
✅3. Rotary Gear Reducer
Change the gear oil in the rotary gear reducer every 500 working hours. Additionally, apply grease to all gear surfaces in the rotary gear reducer every 3 months. If dirt is found on the gear surfaces during inspection, it should be removed immediately to prevent damage to the gears, resulting in downtime and repair costs.
It should be noted that the slewing bearing should be lubricated weekly using a grease gun through the grease fitting. If any nuts or bolts used for fastening are found to be loose, they should be replaced immediately, and work should not continue to prevent accidents.
✅4. Daily Draining of Hydraulic Oil Tank
This is a very simple daily operation, but many people don't do it. When the pump truck is working, water may be introduced into the hydraulic oil and then into the hydraulic oil tank during concrete pump tank cleaning or other processes. However, after settling, the water will settle at the bottom of the hydraulic oil tank, requiring drainage through the drain port. If water is not drained for a long time, the water in the tank will accumulate, most likely causing hydraulic oil emulsification and reducing the equipment's performance. Therefore, don't underestimate this step; it's very important.
✅5. Lubrication System
Currently, pump trucks all employ automatic lubrication systems. While the pump truck is operating, the lubrication system works simultaneously to ensure lubrication of the mixing, large and small ends, and concrete piston, thereby extending the service life of these vulnerable parts.
Therefore, when the lubrication system is operating, it is necessary to ensure that the grease in the lubrication tank is sufficient and that each lubrication point is functioning properly. In addition, after each operation, it is best to manually activate the lubrication system again to re-lubricate all the aforementioned parts, ensuring that the grease inside the lubrication points is not contaminated for the next operation.
The above points are important for the daily operation of pump trucks and are often overlooked. Hopefully, this information will help you better understand pump trucks and perform their maintenance.

JIUHE Truck-mounted concrete pump
With the rapid development of the construction industry, methods for transporting concrete are constantly evolving. In the past, stationary concrete pumps (or "trailer concrete pumps") were the primary method, but truck-mounted concrete pumps ( also called "concrete line pump" )have now gradually become the mainstream choice.
Precautions for the Use of Trailer Mounted Concrete Pumps
The trailer-mounted concrete pump is a very common piece of construction equipment; favored by contractors for its compact size, ease of transport, and cost-effectiveness.
What causes the S-pipe of a concrete pump to not swing properly?
The S-tube is a crucial component of a concrete boom pump. Its primary function is to connect the boom's piping to the concrete delivery cylinder, enabling continuous concrete pumping.
